Cashmere Sweaters for Women

A sweater in pure cashmere warms at minimal weight and regulates temperature on its own — as well in a drafty early autumn as in an overheated office. The fine yarn makes it a year-round piece rather than a stand-in for a winter coat. The surface is matte and fine, with the quiet handle only real cashmere has.

Crewneck, V-neck or short sleeve

The crewneck is the quietest shape and works with jeans, tailored pants and a skirt alike. The V-neck shows what lies underneath — a blouse, a shirt, a necklace — instead of hiding it. The short-sleeve version is the piece for heated rooms and the in-between season: warm enough for cool mornings, airy enough once the heating is on.

Pure cashmere or merino-cashmere

Both lines stand side by side. Pure cashmere is the lighter, finer yarn. The 95-to-5 merino-cashmere blend holds its shape better and is more hard-wearing — for a staple that gets worn and washed often, that is the more durable combination. The biggest difference is the brushing: on the merino line the fiber ends are raised, which makes the surface cloud-soft and the handle fuller.

Fit and care

Our fits are cut relaxed, with room for a blouse underneath. If you prefer a closer fit, take one size down. Wash cold by hand or on the wool cycle at 30 °C, then dry flat — not in the dryer, not on a hanger. Pilling is normal with fine yarn and lifts away with a wool comb.
