For as long as I can remember, the crewneck has been the undisputed number one when it comes to winter knitwear. There is probably no sweater shape that goes with every outfit quite like it: with jeans, with tailored trousers, with a skirt. Even with shorts in the shoulder season, or a skirt and tights, a crewneck always looks well dressed.

With a favorite piece like this it is worth paying attention to the material. Our cloudy brushing makes it the star in both colors: it feels like a soft embrace and still stays light — a piece you reach for again and again.

Flannel and Mocha slot into any wardrobe and add a piece you will not want to give up.

My personal highlight this season is Mocha: with natural or brown tailored trousers and loafers it is already one of my favorite solid sweaters of the season.

Material and care

95% merino wool, 5% cashmere. The yarn is brushed: the fiber ends are raised, which makes the surface softer and the handle fuller.

• Hand wash cold with a mild wool detergent
• Or professional dry cleaning on a gentle program
• Do not bleach, do not tumble dry
• Do not iron hot
• Dry flat and reshape
• Store folded, do not hang
• Remove pilling with a wool comb

Frequently asked questions

Does merino wool itch?
Merino is considerably finer than classic virgin wool and lies flatter on the skin. The brushing and the cashmere content make the surface softer still.

Why 95 to 5 and not pure cashmere?
Merino holds its shape better and is more hard-wearing. The cashmere content brings the softness. For a staple that is worn and washed often, that is the more durable combination.

Which size should I take?
The sweater is true to size. If you want to wear it loosely over a blouse, size up.
