The complete care guide: how to keep your cashmere beautiful for years
Cashmere does not want to be washed often. Airing it out is usually enough — wash it only when it is really necessary.
Washing
Hand wash in cold water with a wool detergent. Let the piece soak briefly, press gently, never rub or wring. Then rinse clear.
Drying
Press the water out carefully, roll the piece in a towel and dry it flat — never on a hanger, never on a radiator. That way it holds its shape.
Storing
Folded in the wardrobe, not hanging. For the summer break, use a cotton bag with cedar wood — airtight plastic bags make the fiber brittle.
Creases and pilling
Creases drop out overnight. Pilling is normal with pure cashmere and lifts away gently with a cashmere comb.
